Finally I decide to update a little bit. I got lazy again hehe. Had a busy weekend, Sunday is chill day for me so I might as well rant a bit. I had such a fun time this weekend, one of the best I’ve had, sorta. Friday it was Kristine’s Birthday celebration at 7 in West Hollywood. Small lounge but still fun :) I can’t wait to see all the pictures during Friday. I got trashed so I ended up sleeping over lover’s house. I love waking up next to him the next day. I hardly get to.

Yesterday I went to another Dodger’s game. It was awesome. I went with my 3 favorite people: lover, Melinda, and Z. We had awesome seats close to the dugout. I wanted to get a baseball. The closest the ball ever got to me was right in the front of the section where I sat at. Damn. So close. But it was fun :)

So anyways yes that’s it, well I went bowling today too with lover and his family.  That’s it. I think I’ll take a nap, do some photo retouches, airbrushing, or watch tv, or maybe play Resident Evil 4 on Game Cube. We’ll see.

Ciao.

I’ve been getting more lazy updating. After work I don’t really like being on my laptop or a computer. I’d rather do other stuff like read or watch movies. Last night I finished reading Angels & Demons by Dan Brown. I really liked the book. It was actually hard to put the book down. Whenever I had the time I’d sit on my bed and just place myself in the story.

Before hitting the sack, I watched Down to You with Freddie Prinze Jr. (Alfred) & Julia Stiles (Imogen), which made me think about relationships. In the movie they meet in college, started going out, and ended up falling in love. They ended up growing apart but still remaining in a relationship until Imogen did one thing wrong that shattered what her and Alfred built between them.

I think that’s what I’m scared about when it comes to being in a relationship. Your first year is always your best. Getting to know each other, having the tingles and all that good stuff. I’ve been with Brock for 9 months. I still get the tingles every time he holds me, kisses me softly on the head or cheek (even if people are looking), when he grabs me and holds me close and whispers “I love you.” I don’t want that tingle to ever go away. I don’t want to grow apart and still be with him at the same time. I want to be close with him for as long as we’re meant to.

Any hoo.. I’ll be going to Las Vegas with my honey and his family for his sister’s 21st Birthday!

Ciao for now.

I’ve been lazy about writing an entry. The last time I posted was right before I left to go to a Dodger game. I had so much fun!! I’m not a big fan of baseball but I can’t wait till we go to the next game!! I was acting like a kid going to Disneyland for the first time (Disney is way better though). The food was great. The game was great. And watching drunk people was funny.

My little sister is coming home today. I haven’t seen her since last month because my aunt took my sister with her back to San Diego for a while. The house will be not so quiet anymore.

Happy 9th Monthsary to lover and I (well that was yesterday).  9 months already? Feels like I’ve been with him longer.

I got other things on my mind. But I won’t get my panties all tied up in a knot yet. So I’ll just wait and see.

Ciao.

During the weekend I wasn’t home much. I didn’t really touch my laptop that much during the weekend so I didn’t have time to update. Recall from my last post, The Last Lecture, I actually finished reading the book on July 4. I loved every part of it. During my 4th I ended up going to my sweetie’s cousin’s place for a BBQ. She let me borrow three books that I actually wanted to read, The Life of Pi, The Alchemist, and Angels and Demons. I started reading The Alchemist at her BBQ while I was just resting (from playing Rock Band and eating too much). I ended up finishing the book yesterday. It isn’t that long either. But it’s a good book. I don’t want to give out the details in case any of you end up reading it, but what stood out to me most is the idea of your Personal Legend.

whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it’s because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. It’s your mission on earth. . .And when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.

That’s what your personal legend is. Follow it. If you want to do something, and you feel that’s what you should do. Go for it, no one is stopping you but yourself.

Since I finished The Alchemist I started reading Angels and Demons. It’ll take me longer to get through this book since it’s big and I can’t really put it in my bag since there’s so much shit in it. I think I’ll enjoy Angels and Demons because I really enjoyed The Da Vinci Code. So whenever I go out, I bring The Life of Pi with me. I’ll give updates on these books.

I’m going to the Dodger game today!! It’s my first sports event so I’m pretty darn excited.

Ciao.

After work yesterday I went to Barnes and Noble and bought The Last Lecture. I started reading my book when I got to lover’s place. He was playing video games so I figured I’d start my new book. I was so excited. It’s only about 200 pages so I got through more than half of it yesterday. So far, I really like the book. I learned about Randy’s life, to follow your dreams, your dreams do come but sometimes not in the way you expect it to be, and enabling others to follow their’s is indeed a good feeling. Here are his childhood dreams:

  • Being in zero gravity
But I did manage to get on that plane, almost four decades after floating became one of my life goals. It just proves that if you can find an opening, you can probably find a way to float through it
  • Playing in the NFL (he never made it to the NFL)
When you’re screwing up and nobody says anything to you anymore, that means they’ve given up on you.”
  • Authoring an article in the World Book Encyclopedia
But Sometimes when I’m in the library with the kids, I still can’t resist looking under “V” (”Virtual Reality” by yours truly) and letting them have a look. Their dad made it.
  • Being Captain Kirk (Star Trek)
“It’s cool to meet your boyhood idol, but it’s almost indescribaby cooler when he comes to you to see cool stuff you’re doing in your lab.
  • Winning stuff animals
One of my earliest childhood dreams was to be the coolest guy at any amusement park or carnival I visited…The coolest guy was easy to spot: He was the one walking around with the largest stuff animal.
  • Being a Disney Imagineer
I ended up being allowed to take that sabbatical, and it was a fantasy come true. In fact I have a confession. This is exactly how geeky I am: Soon after I arrived in California, I hopped into my convertible and drove over to Imagineering headquarters. It was a hot summer night, and I had the soundtrack to Disney’s The Lion King blasting on my stereo. Tears actually began streaming down my face as I drove past the building. Here I was, the grown-up version of that wide-eyed eight-year-old at Disneyland. I had finally arrived. I was an Imagineer.

While my love played his video games he could hear me laugh from time to time and asked me what is going on. When I told him the part that I just read that made me laugh, he laughed too. In fact, last night when I got home from his cousin’s place, I told him about the latest chapters I’ve read. He said that maybe he should read this book, too!

I have so many favorite parts of the book already. But here’s one I will point out. Randy was still unmarried during his twenties and thirties. So the apple of his eye was pretty much his niece and nephew. There was one time when he picked them up in brand new convertible. His sister was telling her kids to be careful, don’t get the car dirty, and all that. While she was outlining the rules to her kids, Randy took a can of soda, opened it, and poured it in the back seat. And he says, “My message: People are more important than things. A car, even a prisitine gem like my new convertible, was just a thing.

I ended up being so glad I’d spilled that soda. Because later in the weekend, little Chris got the flu and threw up all over the backseat. He didn’t feel guilty. He was relieved; he had already watch me christen the car. He knew it would be OK.

So if you’re thinking of reading a book and don’t know what. Read The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch.
